They may have been playing a couple cupcake teams in a row, but the Purdue Boilermakers are feeling real good so far this season as they continue to put together complete team efforts in their victories. Leading the nation in scoring, the Purdue offense has been a well oiled machine through the air and the ground. This week was another offensive show as the Boilermakers blew out Ball St

QB Caleb TerBush has another stellar game in his first season as the Purdue starter going 15-22 for 369 yards and 4 TD. He has been putting the ball on the money every game and finding his open man very often. Senior WR Keith Smith was a man among boys scoring 2 TDs and leading the team with 169 yds receiving.

The game started like the previous two Purdue games with TerBush hitting his receivers early and often. Al-Terek McBurse and George Brigandi punched in a rushing TD a piece to put the Boilermakers up 14-0 in the first quarter. The second quarter saw the WRs find the endzone as Smith scored and WR Keith Carlos added two TD receptions of his own. By that time Ball St. was already thinking about their trip back home.

The Purdue D then got into the action forcing tons of turnovers. Ball St. QB Kelly  Page kept insisting on testing CB Charlton Williams and was rewarded with 3 INTs by the Redshirt JR. Williams has been an interception machine early on in season grabbing 8 in three games to lead the nation. DE Gerald Gooden added 2 sacks to the defensive effort.

Next week Purdue faces Toledo before they head into a bye week. After the BYE the Big Ten season begins for the Boilermakers.
